What to see in Lyon

1. Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière
   Set on top of Fourvière hill, the basilica looks out over Lyon and gives one of the finest views of the city.

4. Parc de la Tête d'Or
   This large nineteenth-century park gives Lyon a real breath of nature, with open lawns, a lake and carefully kept gardens.
5. Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse
   The Halles bring a large part of Lyon's food culture under one roof, from oyster counters to cheese stalls.
6. Presqu'île & Place Bellecour
   The Presqu'île, wedged between the Rhône and the Saône, packs Lyon's squares, classical façades and shopping streets into one walkable stretch.
7. Le Bouchon des Filles
   Isabelle and Laura, two former waitresses at the Café des Fédérations, opened this bouchon at the foot of the Croix-Rousse slopes, near place Sathonay.
8. Daniel et Denise
   This is the original address of a Lyon bouchon opened in 1968 by Daniel and Denise Léron and taken over in 2004 by chef Joseph Viola, a Meilleur Ouvrier de France.
