What to see in Port Douglas

1. Four Mile Beach
   A long sweep of pale sand lined with coconut palms and facing the Coral Sea, a short walk from the centre of Port Douglas.

   From the small hill above the Port Douglas peninsula, you take in the long curve of Four Mile Beach, the harbour and the rainforest-covered mountains in a single view.

5. Gorge de Mossman
   At the edge of the Daintree rainforest, the gorge is Kuku Yalanji country, set within one of the oldest rainforests on Earth.
6. Forêt de Daintree
   It is one of the oldest rainforests in the world, listed by UNESCO, and one of the few places where jungle runs right down to the beach.
