What to see in Casablanca

1. Mosquée Hassan II
   Built partly over the Atlantic, it is one of the few major religious buildings where you can hear the surf from inside the prayer hall.
2. Corniche d'Aïn Diab
   The corniche follows the Atlantic for several kilometres, between the Sidi Abderrahman shrine and the Anfa district.
3. Quartier Habous
   The Habous quarter is one of the few parts of Casablanca built in a traditional Moroccan style, with arcades, zellige tilework and narrow lanes.
4. Place Mohammed V (art déco)
   Place Mohammed V is the administrative and historic heart of central Casablanca, and its Art Deco façades, built during the protectorate period, give the city a very recognisable architectural identity.
5. Villa des Arts
   The Villa des Arts sits in a fine residence in the Anfa district of Casablanca and showcases modern and contemporary Moroccan art.
6. Morocco Mall
   Morocco Mall sits on the Ain Diab seafront along Casablanca's corniche.
7. Marché central
   Marché central is one of Casablanca's most alive places, where the city's daily life is still very much at work.
8. Rick's Café
   The place recreates the bar from Michael Curtiz's film Casablanca, with Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, in a setting designed to evoke the 1940s.
