What to see in Barcelona

  1. Sagrada Família
The Sagrada Família is a living building site where Gaudí's architecture keeps unfolding before your eyes.
  2. Park Güell
Gaudí imagined a garden city that follows the shape of the hill, with rough stone, tilted columns and colourful ceramic mosaics.
  3. La Rambla & Boqueria
La Rambla is the long promenade running down toward the port, and the Boqueria opens off its side, a covered hall full of color and smells.
  4. Barri Gòtic
The Barri Gòtic is the old heart of Barcelona, where the Romans founded their colony and twenty centuries of history sit on top of one another.
  5. Casa Batlló
Gaudí reimagined an existing building with almost no straight lines, and it feels like a living set made of bones, scales and water.
  6. Barceloneta
Barceloneta is Barcelona's city beach, stretched out below a former fishermen's district.
  7. Montjuïc
This green hill facing the sea gives one of the finest views of Barcelona, taking in the port, the old town and the skyline all the way to the mountains.
  8. Museu Picasso
This museum links several medieval palaces on Montcada Street around a rare thread: watching Picasso take shape, from his teenage years in Barcelona to his mature work.
