1. Chorsu Bazaar
   Chorsu Bazaar has been at the heart of Tashkent's old town for a long time, under its blue-domed building.
2. Complexe Khast Imam
   The complex brings together several religious and scholarly monuments around an open square in an old quarter of Tashkent.
3. Place de l'Indépendance
   This wide open space in the heart of Tashkent is dominated by the Independence Monument, with its large golden globe and stork, a symbol of Uzbekistan's national identity since 1991.
4. Métro de Tachkent (stations)
   Opened in 1977, the Tashkent metro is known for the care put into the decoration of its stations, with marble, mosaics, chandeliers and traditional Uzbek motifs.
5. Musée des Arts appliqués
   Founded in 1937 during the Soviet period, this museum gathers everyday objects and craftsmanship from Uzbekistan: textiles, embroidery, ceramics, wood and metalwork.
6. Tour de télévision
   Rising to 375 metres, the Tashkent television tower is one of the defining landmarks of the Uzbek capital, and its late Soviet design stands in clear contrast with the city around it.
7. Musée d'Histoire des Timourides
   This museum gives a clear introduction to Timur, known as Tamerlane, and to the Timurid era, whose monuments shape Tashkent and Samarkand.
