What to see in Sapporo

1. Parc Odori & Tour de télévision
   Odori Park is a long green strip running east to west through central Sapporo, dividing the city into north and south.
2. Marché Nijo
   Nijo Market is Sapporo's main food market, where seafood, produce and Hokkaido specialities are sold alongside small counters where you can eat on the spot.
3. Susukino
   Susukino is Sapporo's main entertainment district, where nightlife unfolds across a dense network of streets, bars, restaurants and glowing signs.
4. Mont Moiwa (téléphérique)
   The cable car climbs in a few minutes to the top of Mount Moiwa, which overlooks Sapporo and its grid-patterned streets.
5. Musée de la bière Sapporo
   The museum sits in the former brewery of Hokkaidō, a red-brick building from the Meiji era, originally built for the brewery founded by the Hokkaidō government.
6. Niseko (ski, excursion)
7. Tour de l'Horloge
   This small wooden building, completed in 1878 when the Sapporo Agricultural College was training its first students, is one of the few surviving traces of the years when the city opened itself to Western culture.
8. Shiroi Koibito Park
   The park shows how Hokkaido's best-known cookie is made, from baking to packaging, in a setting of European-style buildings.
