What to see in Pokhara
- Lac Phewa (barque)
Phewa Lake is the quiet heart of Pokhara, and a boat is the best way to take it in: you drift between green hills and, on a clear day, the Annapurna range in the distance. - Stupa de la Paix mondiale
Built by Japanese Buddhist monks on a wooded ridge above Phewa Lake, this white stupa is one of the best viewpoints in Pokhara. - Sarangkot (lever de soleil)
Sarangkot is the hill that rises north of Pokhara, and the place to watch the Annapurna range light up slowly at daybreak. - Chutes de Devi
The water here does not fall into a valley: it pours into a narrow gorge and vanishes underground, which is why the Nepali name Patale Chhango means underground waterfall. - Musée international de la Montagne
This museum tells the story of the Himalaya through the people who climb it and the people who live in its shadow, which gives real meaning to the peaks you glimpse from Pokhara. - Lakeside (promenade)
This long strip of streets between the shops and the shore of Phewa Lake is the natural starting point for a day in Pokhara. - Parapente depuis Sarangkot
You take off from the Sarangkot ridge and glide over the valley down to Phewa Lake, with the Annapurna range filling the horizon. - Moondance Restaurant
Moondance is one of the older places in Lakeside, and it still feels easygoing, welcoming groups and trekkers just back from the mountains alike.
