What to see in Ella

1. Nine Arch Bridge
   This stone viaduct curves through jungle and tea bushes, and its plain, graceful arches sit naturally in the landscape.
2. Little Adam's Peak
   This small summit is an easy walk through tea plantations, with a view over the Ella Gap where the hills open onto the southern plains.
3. Ella Rock
   Ella Rock is the hike that gives the village of Ella its real scale: you leave the railway line behind, cross tea plantations and woodland, then the view opens over the hill country valleys.
4. Chutes de Ravana
   This waterfall spreads into several strands over a broad rock face, right beside the road that drops from Ella toward the plains.
5. Plantation de thé Halpewatte
   In the hills around Ella, this tea estate lets you follow tea from picked leaf to cup, among rows of bushes covering the slope.
6. Train Ella–Kandy (gare d'Ella)
   This route follows the hill-country railway as it winds down from tea country toward Kandy, past plantations, cloud forest and villages clinging to the slopes.
7. Lipton's Seat (Haputale)
   This viewpoint overlooks the Dambatenne tea hills above Haputale.
8. Chill Café
   Cafe Chill has become a fixture of Ella's main street, a big wooden building on several floors where you can settle in for breakfast, lunch or an evening out.
