What to see in Durban

1. Golden Mile (promenade)
   The Golden Mile follows the Indian Ocean for several kilometres, combining sandy beaches, lawns and a long promenade.
2. uShaka Marine World
   Set on the beachfront at Durban's Point, uShaka brings together an aquarium, family play areas and a beach in one place.
3. Victoria Street Market
   The market grew out of traders who set up around the Grey Street Mosque in 1890, and it still carries that history in its crowds, spices and trade.
4. Moses Mabhida Stadium (SkyCar)
   Built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, this stadium remains one of Durban's most recognisable landmarks, its steel arch dominating the seafront.
5. Jardin botanique de Durban
   Founded in 1849, it is one of South Africa's oldest botanic gardens.
6. Umhlanga (phare & plage)
   The lighthouse stands on a rocky point at the end of the Umhlanga Rocks promenade, with the beach on one side and Indian Ocean waves breaking over the reef on the other.
7. Vallée des Mille Collines
   The valley rolls west of Durban in a patchwork of hills, farmland and small homesteads, shaped by the Umgeni River.
8. Florida Road
   Florida Road is the liveliest street in Morningside, Durban.
