What to see in Barranquilla

  1. Gran Malecón del Río
This long promenade on the banks of the Magdalena River shows Barranquilla finally turning to face its river.
  2. Museo del Caribe
This museum tells the story of Colombia's Caribbean coast through its nature, history and cultures, which makes it a good first stop for understanding Barranquilla and its region.
  3. Cathédrale métropolitaine et plaza de la Paz
A modern cathedral, far from the usual colonial churches, whose clean lines and colored stained glass show another side of the city.
  4. Casa del Carnaval
The Casa del Carnaval helps you understand the Barranquilla Carnival outside the days of the festival itself, through its masks, costumes and rhythms.
  5. Zoo de Barranquilla
This is a human-scale zoo in the middle of the city, where more than five hundred animals can be seen in one easy visit.
  6. Puerto Colombia et son ancien quai
This nineteenth-century pier was once among the longest in the world and Colombia's main maritime gateway, where goods and immigrants arrived.
