What to see in Arusha

1. Serengeti (Grande migration)
   The name comes from the Maa language and means "endless plains".
2. Cratère du Ngorongoro
   The crater is a closed basin where lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras and black rhinos are concentrated within a few square kilometres, so you do not have to cover long distances to see them.
3. Parc national d'Arusha (mont Meru)
   The park spreads across the slopes of Mount Meru, with varied scenery: mountain forest, the soda lakes of Momella, the forested Ngurdoto Crater and open grassland.
4. Tarangire
   The park is built around the Tarangire River, which remains one of the few reliable water sources in the region during the dry season.
5. Lac Manyara
   The park stretches along the foot of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, between acacia woodland and the salty waters of a soda lake.
6. Kilimandjaro (Moshi, vue)
   Kilimanjaro rises alone above the plain, with no range around it, and that isolated shape gives a rare sense of scale.
7. Marché central d'Arusha
   This is the commercial heart of the city, where Arusha residents do their everyday shopping.
