What to see in Warsaw

  1. Vieille Ville & Place du Château
This district was rebuilt after the Second World War, so you walk through cobbled lanes and colourful façades that exist thanks to the determination of Warsaw's residents.
  2. Palais de la Culture
This massive tower dominates central Warsaw, and its observation terrace gives a 360 degree view over a city that was entirely rebuilt.
  3. Musée de l'Insurrection
Housed in a former tram power station in the Wola district, this museum tells the story of the 1944 uprising against the German occupation through the eyes of residents and fighters.
  4. Parc Łazienki
Warsaw's largest park blends French and English style gardens around eighteenth-century neoclassical pavilions, including a palace built in the middle of a lake.
  5. Musée POLIN
POLIN tells a thousand years of the history of Polish Jews, on the site of Warsaw's former Jewish quarter.
  6. Musée Chopin
Housed in the Ostrogski Palace, this museum tells Chopin's life through his manuscripts, letters and belongings.
  7. Zapiecek
Zapiecek is a small Warsaw chain built around pierogi, and it's an easy, low-risk way to try traditional Polish cooking.
  8. Hala Koszyki
This early twentieth-century market hall, built in Art Nouveau style, has found a second life by bringing food counters, bars and shops together under one roof.
