1. Anse Intendance
   Anse Intendance is one of the wildest beaches on Mahé, framed by steep hills and granite boulders, facing the powerful swell of the Indian Ocean.
2. Beau Vallon
   Beau Vallon is one of the busiest beaches on the northwest coast of Mahé, in a bay where the water is often calm.
3. Parc national du Morne Seychellois
   The park covers the uplands of Morne Seychellois, the highest point in the islands, and protects one of the last large mountain rainforests on Mahé.
4. Marché Sir Selwyn Selwyn-Clarke (Victoria)
   This is the city's main public market, where Seychellois residents still do their everyday shopping.
5. Anse Source d'Argent (La Digue, excursion)
   Its granite boulders, smoothed by wind and sea and set against white sand and turquoise water, make it one of the most photographed beaches in the Seychelles.
6. Anse Lazio (Praslin, excursion)
   Anse Lazio is a long stretch of pale sand framed by large granite boulders and coconut palms on the west coast of Praslin.
7. Vallée de Mai (Praslin)
   This forest of endemic palms, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, feels almost out of time: under a dense canopy you walk among coco de mer palms, which bear the largest seed in the plant kingdom.
8. Jardin botanique de Victoria
   This old garden, founded at the end of the nineteenth century, gathers plants from the Seychelles and the wider tropics in a calm setting only a short walk from the capital's centre.
