What to see in Nassau

1. Plage de Cable Beach
   This long stretch of pale sand runs along the northwest coast of New Providence, away from the bustle of downtown Nassau.

   A sprawling set inspired by the sunken city of Atlantis, where a water park and marine habitats blend together.
3. Straw Market
   This is Nassau's big craft market, set in the heart of downtown, where straw is still plaited by hand in the local tradition.
4. Queen's Staircase & Fort Fincastle
   A staircase cut into limestone by enslaved laborers, lined with greenery, leads up to a small fort shaped like a paddle steamer.
5. Cochons nageurs (Exuma, excursion)
   On an uninhabited island in the Exumas, pigs swim out to greet you in clear turquoise water.
6. Junkanoo Beach
   This is Nassau's city beach, a few minutes on foot from downtown, where lively streets give way to shallow turquoise water.
7. Blue Lagoon Island
   Just a few kilometres from Nassau, this private island has calm, very clear turquoise water and white sand, so you get a proper beach break without a long journey.
8. Musée des Pirates
   In the early 1700s Nassau was a pirate haven, and this museum tells that story in the very town where it happened.
