What to see in Galápagos

1. Station Charles Darwin
   This is where you see how the Galápagos are protected day to day: the station is first and foremost a research centre, and you visit it alongside the conservation work.
2. Tortuga Bay
   A very long stretch of white sand where wildlife comes first: marine iguanas, crabs and birds share the volcanic rocks, and you feel like a guest in their home.
3. Los Gemelos & partie haute (tortues géantes, El Chato)
   Up in the highlands of Santa Cruz the air cools, mist clings to the trees, and the dry coastal landscape is nowhere to be seen.
4. Las Grietas
   Las Grietas is a narrow, deep volcanic fissure filled with clear water, part fresh and part salt.
5. Plongée à Gordon Rocks / North Seymour
   Gordon Rocks is what remains of an eroded volcanic crater off Santa Cruz, where strong currents draw schools of hammerhead sharks and other big fish.
6. Isabela (Puerto Villamil, excursion)
   Puerto Villamil, on Isabela island, has a long stretch of pale sand lined with palm trees, and it feels like a quiet village rather than a busy attraction.
7. Bartolomé (Pinnacle Rock, excursion)
   Bartolomé is a barren volcanic islet where you walk over red and orange ash before reaching one of the archipelago's most recognisable views.
8. Quai des pêcheurs de Puerto Ayora
   On this small waterfront dock, the fishermen's daily work plays out among wildlife.
