What to see in Doha

1. Souq Waqif
   The souq keeps the shape of a traditional Qatari market, rebuilt in 2006 with care to preserve its original layout.
2. Musée d'art islamique
   The museum sits in a building by I.
3. Musée national du Qatar
   The museum combines the former palace of the ruling family with a contemporary building by Jean Nouvel, whose interlocking discs recall a desert rose.
4. Corniche de Doha
   The corniche runs for about 7 km along the Persian Gulf and offers one of the clearest views of Doha's skyline.
5. Katara Cultural Village
   Katara sits on Doha's eastern shore, between West Bay and The Pearl, and offers a cultural space open to the sea, away from the glass towers of the city centre.
6. The Pearl
   The Pearl is an artificial archipelago built off the coast of Doha, with work on it continuing since 2007.
7. Safari dans le désert & Khor Al Adaid
   Khor Al Adaid is an inland sea enclosed by rust-red sand dunes, linked to the Gulf by a narrow channel.
8. Villaggio Mall
   Villaggio is a shopping mall built around an indoor canal in the style of Venice, under a painted ceiling that imitates the sky.
