1. Requins-baleines d'Oslob (excursion)
   Oslob lets you watch whale sharks, the largest fish in the world, glide past just metres from you in shallow water on the south coast of Cebu.
2. Chutes de Kawasan
   Deep in the forest of southwest Cebu, a waterfall drops into pools of an almost unreal turquoise, thanks to the limestone rock.
3. Basilique du Santo Niño & Croix de Magellan
   Two landmarks of the Christian history of the Philippines stand a short walk apart: the statue of the Child Jesus given in 1521 and the cross tied to Magellan's arrival.
4. Temple taoïste
   Set high in the Beverly Hills neighbourhood, this temple built by Cebu's Chinese community offers a quiet pause above the city.
5. Tops Lookout
   Set in the Busay hills above Cebu City, this lookout gives a wide view over the city, the strait and Mactan Island.
6. Plage de Mactan (Lapu-Lapu)
   On Mactan's east coast, the sea is lined with small pale-sand beaches and coral reefs, only minutes from Cebu.
7. Île de Bantayan
   Bantayan is a slow-paced fishing island ringed by long stretches of pale sand and calm water, without the crowds of the bigger beach destinations.
8. Marché de Carbon
   Carbon is the big, working market of downtown Cebu, where the city does its real shopping.
